What is Kidz226?
Kidz226 is our children’s ministry that has been designed for your child. The name Kidz226 comes straight from the book of Proverbs: “Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.” (proverbs 22:6, NIV)
Who attends Kidz226?
Children (birth through 5th grade) attend Kidz226 each weekend! Each child will experience safe, clean, and age-appropriate environments where the Bible is taught in a creative and relevant way. We are so passionate about seeing our children learn about Jesus in a way they can understand, that we highly encourage ALL children to participate in Kidz226, as the regular weekend services are not intended for those below 6th grade. Allow your children to join the fun and experience a world where Kids meet Jesus on their level!
Where does Kidz226 meet?
Along with our recently expanded nursery space, a brand-new facility known as “the Hangar” was themed and divided into distinct areas to capture the imagination of the children from the time they arrive! Children below 2 years old gather in the nursery rooms (close the main auditorium) where they are still close to Mom & Dad. Children 2 years old and older, meet in “the Hangar” located behind the main building. Children 2-5 years old begin their experience by checking in to their designated classroom, while 1st-5th graders begin the weekend in the Gymnasium for a program called “Kidz-Fit”. “Kidz-Fit” is a time where they will play games, and get exercise before splitting into smaller groups; where they will experience the Kidz theater, and other small classroom environments.
Relationships
Our desire is for each child to experience a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. We also value Children’s relationships with one another and our leaders. From the moment they arrive, we strive to make each Child feel appreciated and included as part of our family.
Safety
We recognize that safety is vital as each family entrusts us with their Child. Therefore, every child’s name tag is matched with a parent tag and security-id number. All of our volunteers are screened through an interview and background check. Our Children’s Facility is monitored with security personnel and cameras.
Creativity in Teaching
The Bible is without a doubt, the most incredible book ever written! We strive to bring the Bible to life with crazy characters, activities and discussions, all designed to keep children engaged. Our desire is for all the children to develop a love for God’s word and understand how to apply it to their lives.
Fun! Fun! Fun!
Kids Love Fun! We recognize that when children have fun at Church, they can’t wait to come back! We value creating fun ways for children to learn about Jesus every time they are here.
First Time at Kidz226?
When you arrive at Pathways, you will see signage directing you towards Kidz226. Upon arrival, we will ask for some basic information so that we may securely check your child in. Once your family is checked in, our volunteers will help your child arrive at their first destination. You and your child will be given matching identification tags that are exclusive to each child and your visit with us. The matching parent tag will be needed at the end of the service, to pick up your child.
Special Note:
If for some reason your child were to need you during the service, your security-id number will appear on the screens in the auditorium. We ask that if you should notice your child’s number being displayed, that you quickly return to the location where your child was checked-in and we will reunite you with your child.
What to expect when I return next time?
As you enter the lobby of the Hangar, you may use one of the self check-in stations to quickly check your child in for the service your family is attending. Step by Step instructions, and our friendly volunteers will be happy to help you through this process. Once your child is checked in, nametags will be printed for each child and one for you as a parent with matching security-ids, which are exclusive to each of your children. If you should lose your parent tag, please return to where you checked your child in ready to present your driver’s license.
