Vision & Purpose

A vision of a place where the hurting, the depressed, the frustrated, and the confused can find love, acceptance, help, hope, forgiveness, guidance and encouragement.

A vision of a place where we break down the doors of “traditional” church as we know it, and create a place of utmost relevance to a lost & dying world. A people who are in the good news sharing business to Sevier County & beyond.

A vision to see Pathways equipping every believer for a significant ministry by helping them discover the gifts and talents that God has given them.

A vision of missions, both short term, and sending those who will be called into full time ministry.

A vision to see Pathways be instrumental in helping plant a church in a place where God leads

A vision of a visible piece of land, on which can be built a beautiful, yet simple worship facility. A place that will be designed to minister to the total person of all ages – spiritually, emotionally, physically, and socially.

We stand, believing this to be inspired by God, and knowing that these dreams can become a reality. It is ours for the taking.

OUR PURPOSE STATEMENT — Why We Exist

To provide a climate for people to connect with God in worship, and for believers to discover, develop, and use their spiritual gifts in building God’s Kingdom by reaching out into our community for Christ, using our personal influence for Him.   “Seeing lives changed to fully  devoted followers of Christ.”

1 Corinthians 1:10 (LB)

“Let there be real harmony among you so there won’t be any split in the church. I plead with you to be of one mind, united in thought and purpose.”

The Great Commandment:

Matthew 22:37-40

Jesus said, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart…soul…and mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

The Great Commission:

Matthew 28:19-20

Jesus said, “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”
